Description:

Created for the album Intangible by the Boston-based "psychedelic world-rock" quartet Full Tang, this album cover and poster design serves as a visual synthesis of the band’s high-energy, multi-instrumental sound. The project utilized a blend of abstract, grit-infused textures with layered "ghostly" photography of the band in performance. The composition features a vibrant palette of lime green and earthy brown with spray-paint effects, mirroring the DIY aesthetic of the local indie scene while highlighting the band’s fusion of African and Latin American grooves with fuzz-rock. The focal point of the composition is the gestural hand-lettering of the band's title, executed with a heavy-stroke marker style. A bold stencil-style font for the title captures the experimental spirit of the group’s first full-length release.

In addition to the album artwork, I have created many gig posters designed to promote Full Tang's high-energy live performances and "unparalleled dance parties" across the Boston music scene. These posters, utilizing high-contrast graphics and experimental typography, capture the band's improvisational aesthetic. Each design was tailored to specific venues and events, serving as both functional marketing and collectible art that reflected the vibrant energy of the local indie community.
