ABOUT ALLISON
With a foundation in illustration, design, and fine art, my practice moves fluidly between disciplines, spanning painting, brand identity, visual storytelling, and handcrafted carvings. My work is rooted in observation and craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from the natural world and symbolism.
Whether creating an oil painting, developing a visual identity, or carving a one-of-a-kind piece, each work is approached with the same commitment to thoughtful composition, meaningful detail, and lasting impact. My design practice combines strategic thinking with a refined visual sensibility, creating thoughtful brand identities and visual systems that are both functional and enduring. Across disciplines, I create work that is timeless, cohesive, and quietly powerful.

"While my materials and processes may shift, my methodology remains constant. My work is anchored in a deep appreciation for aesthetics, striving to create narrative-driven imagery that bridges the gap between realistic observation and the symbolic. By drawing on the histories of surrealism and symbolism, I rearrange the familiar to explore the intimate architecture of the natural world—the intricate lines of leaves and branches. Through this lens of introspection, my goal is to invite others to look more closely at their surroundings and discover how the external landscape reflects our symbolic inner lives."

THE PROCESS
The drawing phase involves drafting a technical blueprint, treating the surface as a site for structural mapping before a single drop of paint is applied. When preparing a watercolor painting, hard leads are used on hot-press paper, ensuring that proportions are in place. A similar process is used for oil painting, by applying softer leads directly to the canvas to create the framework.
